Borno State University hopes to Commence course in Engineering during the 2022/2023 academic session.
Vice chancellor, Prof. Umar kyari Sandabe discloses this yesterday when he received members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers led by its National President Engineer Tasiu Saed Gidado, who paid him a courtesy call.
The VC says, kick starting activities in the faculty of Engineering, follows a fruitful discussion with the NUC, who gave its support and approval and assures NUC of partnership in this direction.
He said, skilled Engineers will be deployed to the entrepreneurship Centre of the University to teach students best modern technology so as to bridge the gap between theory and practical knowledge, to ensure that, they conquer huddles of life upon graduation.
Prof. Sandabe thank the team for considering BOSU in their programme of events and furthers assures of the University’s readiness to partner with NSE for consultations, even as it has a strong member as the University’s Director of works and physical development.
The President, NSE Engineer Tasiu Gidado, says they were in Borno to see the State Chief Executive, who is a strong pillar of NSE, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and also to commission two of their Solar Powered Projects at the State Specialist Hospital and Umaru Shehu Hospital in Maiduguri.
Engineer Gidado commends the Borno State Government for providing standard facilities assuring of support and partnership of the NSE.
Highlight of the occasion, was facility tour of some BOSU projects including the Borno State University Teaching Hospital under construction.
